Who We Are

A message from Our Clinical Director

Manuel Rodriguez MS, BCBA

Professional persistence refers to continuous effort and striving in the face of failure, difficulty, or opposition to achieve success. It is the willingness to continue struggling or trying even when challenges persist. Persistence is a crucial trait for individuals in any profession. All endeavors in life are comprised of challenges and difficulties that one cannot evade. Unfortunately, some people give up quickly when faced with challenges. Indeed, this is why the most successful people are highly persistent. I may not say that I am already successful, but my current position as a Board Certified  Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in life has been a result of persistence in fighting for life goals.

My life goal was to become a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). My first step towards achieving this objective was by attaining a Master’s in Applied Behavior Analysis from ABA Spain to complete the course work required from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) before getting my certification. I am currently enrolled and completing a Master’s in Exceptional Student Education at Albizu University. Besides learning, I have also worked in several areas. I have, for instance, worked as a behavior analyst with children with developmental disorders. Through all of the above, I have faced many difficulties, but I did not give up.

In my view, the persistence and passion for helping children with developmental disorders have driven my ambition. I often have a strong feeling that I am obliged to help such people in the best way possible. As a result, I have been persistent and curious in the search for knowledge of behavior analysis and intervention strategies. I am confident that my persistence will see me through my studies to fulfill my ambition.

The Developing Wellness Behavioral staff is a group of ABA professionals in Miami with experience in diverse, related fields. This allows us to design well-rounded, effective programs to meet and exceed each child’s particular needs.

Some of the Factors that Make Us Different

Our general philosophy is to address behavior from a place of love. We realize that despite the structural requirements of ABA programs, there are also emotional and social aspects that must be considered.

Working with you as a member of our team is critical to your child’s growth.

There is no doubt that you are your child’s best teacher. Our goal is to involve you in the process as much as possible and empower you by giving you the tools that you need through our parent training.

Demands on parents and children’s time have become overwhelming.

Therefore, flexibility is important, as parent and child schedules tend to be packed with activity. Our therapists work with children where THEY are, whether it’s at school or in the home.

ABA is a process backed by science and rich in processes and protocol.

However, we treat all of our children/patients as unique individuals. Some organizations attempt to apply therapies to children without variance to norms, within the framework of their prescribed programs. But at Developing Wellness, we cater therapy to the precise needs.

Our therapists have the experience and ability to include their intuition while remaining within the boundaries of structured treatments, which minimizes frustration and produces the best possible outcomes.

We strive for each child to have the most positive learning experience possible. This entails the employment of an optimal pace and learning objectives that address each particular child’s needs.

We have a proven track record of successful claim submissions.

Developing Wellness Behavioral Services prepares very thorough claim documentation and fights for the hours we know it will take to produce optimum outcomes.
