You have a lot of questions

We have the answers

Your first question is probably “What is ABA?” Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) is a commonly-used therapy for people with autism and other disorders. Its goal is to improve a range of behaviors that include communication, social interaction, academics, motor skills, personal hygiene and grooming and domestic skills, among others.

Although ABA is most effective with intensive application on children under four years of age, It is also successful in treating adults, as memory, strength and relationships become more challenging throughout life stages.

You may then have asked yourself “How will I find someone who will see my child as I do; someone who sees all the positive characteristics and builds on them; someone who wants my child to succeed as much as I do and envisions all the potential for the future?”

You want someone who is flexible, makes sense out of a complicated situation and throws you a lifeline that provides hope and makes you feel like family.

Developing Wellness Behavioral Center, an ABA provider in Miami, FL, was started by parents just like you, after not finding satisfactory answers to these and other questions. We were driven to establish an organization that was very transparent, different and more effective in meeting the needs of our clients.

Early intervention

Simply said, early intervention produces more significant and more long term effects on individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder. We recommend therapy for children as young as two years.

The main reason is that children’s brains are in the formation phase and are more “pliable” that the brains of older children. Therapy at a young age give children a “jump start” and there is a greater probability for them to reach their full potential.
