FAQs

ABA takes a research-intensive approach to therapy, which is based on established learning and behavioral theories. The process starts with a thorough assessment that is conducted by a Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA). Thereafter, the BCBA designs a custom treatment plan that aims to improve a range of skills needed to optimize personal, social and professional lives.

Our goal is to become your partner in maximizing the affected individual’s potential. We strive to help you feel part of the team and to offer you relief and peace of mind in situations where it is difficult to find.

Of course, our primary focus is to improve the affected individual’s skills, behaviors and life in general. This requires very close monitoring by both our staff and you, as well as constant evaluation to determine the effectiveness of current treatment and to help define next steps.

We currently accept Florida Medicaid, WellCare Health Plans, Staywell and Children’s Medical Services Health Plan..  We have been very successful in acquiring the funding for hours of therapy needed for the individuals we have treated.

We understand the complexities of daily schedules that tend to be packed with activities, and having to juggle it all. We try to be as flexible as possible by accommodating your busy schedule. Developing Wellness Behavioral Center staff can see your child at home, in school or at a community center – whichever is most convenient for you.

Our highly experienced team consists of members with backgrounds in psychology and special needs education. We have BCBAs, BCaBAs (Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst) and RBTs (Registered Behavior Technicians) on our staff. BCBAs are required to have an undergraduate degree and complete hours of work in the field.

Our RBTs must have a high school diploma and we require them to be seeking an undergraduate degree in a related field. They undergo extensive practical and theoretical training under the supervision of a BCBA or a BAcBA.

Absolutely! We have a staff of BCBAs who are designated “Behavior Analysts” by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board. They administer, evaluate and supervise behavioral assessment programs.

BCBAs also have a prominent teaching role as they teach program coordinators and therapists about proper implementation of programs, data collection as well as all monitoring and reporting standards.

Furthermore, BCBAs set individual goals for home-, school- and community-based programs and ensures achievement of individual goals and assessments.

All of our services are delivered where you prefer – at home, or at school. There is no need to take your child to a center.

Furthermore, we believe that parents are an integral part of the team and, to that end, we provide parent training so that therapy can be carried over.
